As a certified childbirth educator (ICEA), I think it is important to take prenatal classes. I help couples obtain the knowledge necessary to make informed choices regarding moms' care and the care of their baby.
My prenatal classes are hands on, give evidence-based information that includes but is not limited to anatomy, the labor process, comfort measures and breathing, as well as nutrition, relaxation techniques, medications used in labor and interventions.
Private Classes
I teach 3 classes at your home. This 3 week series includes all aspects of labor and delivery:
Nutrition and exercise
Discomforts of pregnancy
Breathing, relaxation and comfort measures
The birth process
Interventions and hospital procedures
Recognizing and handling complications
Pain medications used in labor
Help devising your birth preferences using a worksheet
Mother's care immediately postpartum
I travel to your home, and I am available weeknights and weekends. I cover the Westside, including Santa Monica, Venice, Pacific Palisades, Culver City and West Hollywood, the Valley, Redondo Beach as well as Manhattan Beach.
Each class is about 3 hours long, the cost is $225.00 for the 3 classes
