My name is Jenny Gillespie. I am the mother of three wonderful grown kids and the grandmother of four. My husband and I live in Venice with our standard poodle Pip! As a childbirth educator (ICEA), labor support doula (DONA), and board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), I believe that every birthing person should have access to prenatal education, labor and breastfeeding support. I have been a doula for over 29 years, and have had the privilege of attending birthing families in the greater Los Angeles area, New York City, The Hudson Valley, Connecticut and Honolulu. It is my goal to provide information, guidance, emotional and physical support to families during the months preceding birth, during labor and also for the tender postpartum period. I attend births in different settings, hospitals, birth centers and home births. I have taught childbirth education and breastfeeding classes in California at Kaiser Permanente, Orange Coast Medical Center, UCLA Santa Monica, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.
